
Greg Magarian is a member of Katz Teller’s corporate practice group, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. He represents and advises private companies, family businesses, and start-ups on complex transactions as well as day-to-day corporate governance and commercial matters.
Greg is known for his practical approach to complex legal issues and understanding of the realities of operating a business. Whether guiding a client through a transformative acquisition or advising on routine corporate matters, Greg’s sound judgment and ability to consider all sides of an issue enables him to deliver thoughtful, results-oriented advice that his clients can rely on.
Greg earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati Donald P. Klekamp College of Law with a concentration in international legal studies. Outside of the classroom, Greg was the Executive Editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review, and he competed at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition, winning the Neil Kaplan Award for the Best Individual Oral Advocate in 2021.
He graduated from Trinity College with a B.A. in German Studies and a minor in French Studies. At Trinity, Greg was a four-year member of the varsity rowing team and served as co-captain during his senior year. He also spent a semester studying in Germany at the University of Heidelberg, where he immersed himself in German culture and honed his language skills.
Greg speaks conversational German, French, Dutch, and Italian.
