Matthew A. Rich Named New Shareholder/Partner

CINCINNATI - Katz Teller is pleased to announce that Matthew A. Rich has been named new shareholder/partner of the firm.

Matt’s practice is concentrated in commercial litigation with an emphasis on employment related matters. Matt frequently represents employers in wrongful discharge, discrimination and unemployment compensation claims. In addition, Matt works to avoid disputes between employers and employees by drafting clearer employment policies and employee handbooks and counseling employers on regulatory compliance and personnel matters.

Matt joined Katz Teller in 2006 after practicing for several years with a large law firm in Columbus, Ohio. He studied English literature at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, where he graduated as Valedictorian in 2000. He was an Honors Fellow at Cornell Law School, where he earned his law degree in 2004. He has taught courses on courtroom communication and trial advocacy at Bellarmine University, and is presently advising new mock trial teams from Xavier University and the University of Louisville.

Matt received the 2008 Law Day Award for outstanding contributions to Kentucky Law-Related Education after coaching Fort Thomas (KY) Highlands High School to the 2008 Mock Trial State Championship. Matt is a member of the Leadership Northern Kentucky, Class of 2010 and was named a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers® in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
