Evan T. Nolan and Peter J. O'Shea Have Joined Katz Teller as New Associates

Evan is a Cincinnati native who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Economics and minors in Mathematics and English.  He attended Georgetown University Law Center for law school, making him the third Georgetown alumnus in the Katz Teller ranks (the most of any law school outside the University of Cincinnati).  Most recently, Evan practiced with Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease LLP, where he concentrated his practice in corporate mergers and acquisitions as well as representation in the finance industry.  At Katz Teller, he will practice in those areas, in addition to representing closely-held and family-owned businesses on more day-to-day business and corporate governance matters.

Peter grew up in Northern Kentucky and now lives in downtown Cincinnati.  He attended Thomas More College, where he graduated with a B.A. in History and an A.A. in Political Science (and a perfect 4.0 G.P.A) before attending the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif and magna cum laude.  Before joining Katz Teller, Peter practiced in the litigation department of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, where he represented clients in all phases of commercial litigation, including contractual disputes, insurance coverage, and antitrust law.  He will practice litigation at Katz Teller, primarily representing individuals and companies in business disputes.

Along with their practices at the firm, Evan and Peter are very active in the Cincinnati community.  Evan is a tutor in the Strive Partnership “Be the Change” Tutoring Program, has served as a Board Member of CincyPAC, a non-partisan political action committee geared toward getting young professionals involved in politics, and is currently a member of Class 9 of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s ‘C-Change’ program for emerging leaders in the region.  Peter serves on the Cincinnati Opera Board of Associates and is a member of the University of Cincinnati’s Law Review Alumni Board.

Both participate in multiple committees at Katz Teller.  Evan is a member of the recruiting, finance and retirement plan trustees committees, while Peter serves on the recruiting, marketing and professional responsibility committees.
