Evan T. Nolan
Evan Nolan knows pressure. As a former college placekicker, he has felt every eye in the stadium, friendly or otherwise, trained on him in the moments before the ball is snapped – moments that can feel like an eternity. So when things get heated in a negotiation, or when a corporate transaction he is handling stands on a razor’s edge, or even when the deadlines and demands of a deal become intense, Evan’s composure and confidence in those moments allow him to follow through with skill and precision.
Evan began his legal career at the Cincinnati office of a large national firm before joining Katz Teller in February of 2014. His prior practice revolved around corporate mergers and acquisitions and representation in the financial services industry, though he also has experience in general corporate governance matters. At Katz Teller, his practice is focused in these areas, in addition to representation in matters involving family-owned and closely-held businesses.
Evan grew up in Cheviot and attended St. Xavier High School, where he distinguished himself with his brain and his leg, both of which enabled him to become an Ivy League placekicker at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to balancing the demands of life as a student-athlete, Evan portrayed the school mascot, Ben Franklin, at basketball games and charity events, and was behind the scenes and on-air talent for a college sports talk show.
Since his return home from Washington, D.C., where he attended Georgetown University Law Center, Evan has been actively involved with several young professional initiatives and community outreach efforts. He was a member of Class 9 of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s C-Change program for emerging leaders in the region. Evan currently serves as the Vice President on the Oakley Community Council Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities' Red Shoe Crew.
At Katz Teller, Evan serves as a member of the firm’s recruiting, administrative, and finance committees.
