Employment Philosophy
More than 80% of our attorneys have achieved the partner level, and we expect every associate to be a partner in the future. To maintain our high caliber of performance, we recruit top-ranking graduates from major law schools and support their professional development through a comprehensive training program.
Junior lawyers at our firm have a much greater degree of responsibility on individual matters than do associates at large firms in Cincinnati. The firm recognizes that most new associates lack substantial practice experience; therefore, assistance, guidance, training and advice are freely given. In addition to legal research and drafting, new associates will be given primary responsibility on individual matters when they are ready and will deal with clients immediately.
Firm Culture & Composition
The firm has a friendly, open and informal atmosphere. Associates are encouraged to voice opinions on client and firm matters openly and are discouraged from deferring to other attorneys in the firm simply on the basis of seniority. The firm has monthly meetings of all attorneys at which any attorney may place on the agenda any subject he or she wishes. Many proposals made by associates have been adopted by the firm.
Katz Teller employs some of the most talented and respected attorneys in the state – and in the nation. An unusually high percentage of our attorneys are regularly recognized as both Ohio's "Super Lawyers" – the state's top 5% – and as Best Lawyers in America – the national publication that is widely regarded as the preeminent referral guide to the legal profession in the United States.
This level of recognition of our individual attorneys is remarkably high for a firm of any size. At Katz Teller, we’re proud to provide an environment that attracts and fosters attorneys whose talent and dedication earn them regular accolades.

Civic and Community Involvement
As recognized leaders in our practice areas, our attorneys are frequently invited to teach or lecture at universities and law schools, to lead seminars, and to speak to civic groups.
In addition, our attorneys also frequently accept leadership positions with non-profit organizations and donate at leadership levels. Our staff identify and promote their own community fundraising and volunteer opportunities, as well.
